H2O is an intimate two-person play centered on faith, ambition, love, and the uneasy collision between public identity and private belief. The costume design supported the closeness of the production, tracking subtle shifts in vulnerability, performance, and control.
Because the story depends so heavily on the relationship between the two actors, the clothing needed to feel immediate and lived-in while still revealing character. The palette and silhouettes kept the focus on the performers, using restrained contemporary pieces to mark emotional distance, exposure, and transformation over the course of the play.
