Portland Opera, 2010

This unique production combines choral masterwork Carmina Burana and tragicomic opera Pagliacci. The two productions are performed back-to-back in a single production. The two halves are linked themes of love and loss.

For the Carmina Burana portion of this production I was tasked with recreating the dancers’ dresses based on sketches from the original 1995 production. That process also involved a custom ombre dye treatment.

For the Pagliacci portion of this production I also assisted the cutter/draper in rebuilding Nedda’s and Silvio’s costumes.
